This Christmas Santa brought me a new kidney.  I’m getting better and am so happy I got the gift I needed the most…a chance to live.  But my parents need your support.

Maddie is currently recovering from a kidney transplant done at Stanford Hospital.  For the next 100 days this nine-year-old girl will be living in a controlled, clean environment.  Her parents Lisa and Charlie Kitz have done everything possible to take care of this spunky little girl. And now they need our support to get them through this critical time.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.  Every little bit you can spare helps Maddie’s parents pay the enormous medical and living expenses allowing them to concentrate on her health and happiness.

Madison Kitz was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer, Wilms Tumor, just three months after her birth.  Weeks of chemotherapy couldn’t get rid of the tumor, the size of a grape fruit, from her kidney.  It was removed.  She was just a baby, five months old.  Soon after, doctors found this aggressive cancer in her second kidney.  For the next five years, this little girl lived a life no one on earth should have to endure.  She’s been in-and-out of the hospital, had several surgeries, received countless amounts of chemo, and radiation treatments.  She’s even lost all her hair.  At the young age of six, her second kidney was removed.  Since then, she’s had dialysis treatments three-times a week.

Madison is an inspiration to everyone around her. With her spunk and drive she somehow finds a smile, in spite of it all. She knows no different than to keep fighting, but now she and her family need our support to carry them through these difficult times.

We’ve all heard every penny counts well, it is true.  Your kindness can make a direct difference in this family’s well-being.
